Today we will discuss how reading the Bible on a daily basis frees us from the lies that we believe and sets us free.

We will go over mostly leading questions that will help us understand what the Bible says about abiding in the Word.

BIBLE STUDY

READ: John 8:31-32 - Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

Q: Why is it important to be in God's Word on a daily basis?

• Psalm 119:78 - Let the proud be ashamed, for they treated me wrongfully with falsehood; but I will meditate on Your precepts.

• Joshua 1:8 - This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

• Psalm 119:11 - Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.

• Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

• Psalm 19:7-8 - The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

Q: How do truths that we believe positively affect and bring freedom to our daily lives?
